Sophia Hernandez
HEAD OF CLIENT RELATIONS AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Sophia Hernandez was born and raised in San Diego, California. She is a graduate of California State University San Marcos, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Organizational Management and a minor in Criminology. She went on to earn a Master of Arts in Leadership from Azusa Pacific University and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Education with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University.
Sophia’s career spans the public, nonprofit, and private sectors, with a consistent focus on mission-driven program development and community impact. She currently serves as the Head of Client Relations and Business Development at Bold Leadership Culture, where she supports the design and delivery of transformative leadership experiences across industries. In this role, she ensures operational excellence while cultivating strong relationships with clients who are ready to lead change boldly.
Prior to joining Bold Leadership Culture, Sophia served as the Senior Programs and Government Relations Manager at the North San Diego Business Chamber, where she oversaw more than 10 programs and engaged with over 800 global companies. Her work included large-scale summit planning, legislative advocacy, and the development of platforms to strengthen talent pipelines between higher education and industry. She also held roles with 24 Hour Fitness Corporate, San Diego County Health & Human Services, and served in the California State Assembly as a field representative.
Sophia has led economic development and sustainability initiatives, chaired membership efforts for the National Latina Business Women Association – San Diego, and is a proud advocate for diversity, health equity, and environmental responsibility.
Away from work, Sophia enjoys gardening, exploring local food spots, and spending time with her French Bulldog, Ares.
